1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VerifyStop ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We provide a marketplace and verification services for products, documents, and certificates, including individual verification documents (e.g. NIN, CV, Driver's License), corporate verification for businesses and institutions, and regulatory certificate search.
2. Description of Service
VerifyStop allows users to (i) shop for products from verified sellers, (ii) verify the authenticity of products and documents using unique codes, (iii) upload and manage verification documents (individuals), (iv) create stores and sell products (businesses), (v) purchase and assign verification codes (business and institutional accounts), and (vi) search and verify regulatory certificates. Account types include Personal (individual/buyer), Business (seller), Institutional, and Regulators (partner regulatory bodies).
3. Level of Authenticity
The Platform displays a "level of authenticity" or "authenticity percentage" for products. All product authenticity levels and percentages are based solely on the Company's opinion and internal criteria. They reflect whether the seller has completed corporate verification and assigned verification codes to the product, and are not a guarantee of product quality, safety, or legal compliance. Authenticity indicators are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional, legal, or regulatory advice. Users must conduct their own due diligence when making purchasing or verification decisions.
4. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account. Business accounts may create stores and sell products without completing corporate verification; corporate verification is required only for purchasing verification codes. Regulator accounts are for partner regulatory bodies and may be subject to separate agreements.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your identity or documents, to list counterfeit or prohibited items, or to circumvent verification systems. You must provide accurate information when registering, uploading documents, or listing products. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Platform or other users.
6. Verification and Documents
Verification codes, document uploads, and certificate data are provided by users or partners. We do not independently verify the underlying accuracy of every document or product. By using verification features, you acknowledge that results are based on data submitted to the Platform and on our authenticity criteria (as defined in Section 3). Downloading or viewing another user's verification documents is permitted only through the official verification flow and in accordance with applicable law.
7. Payments and Fees
Purchases of products, verification codes, or other paid features are subject to the pricing and payment terms displayed at the time of purchase. Fees (including for verification code purchases) are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We use third-party payment processors; your use of payment features is subject to their terms as well.
8. Intellectual Property
VerifyStop, the VerifyStop logo, and the Platform's design and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by the Company. You may not copy, modify, or use our branding or technology without written permission. You retain ownership of content you upload; you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to operate the Platform.
9. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT AUTHENTICITY LEVELS, VERIFICATION RESULTS, OR SEARCH RESULTS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR FREE FROM ERROR. USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR RELIANCE ON AUTHENTICITY INDICATORS OR VERIFICATION RESULTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on the Platform and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where required by law.
